AT YOUR WORKPLACE
This is a urine drug screen collected by your trained staff member and tested immediately.
We provide training, the collection cup, tests and chain of custody paperwork(for confirmation testing if the test is + at your office). These CANNOT be used for DOT testing.
Your employee provides a sample at work and testing is done immediately. If the results are negative- the test is done. In cases of non-negative results, samples must undergo confirmation testing at the laboratory and subsequent review by a Medical Review Officer (MRO), taking an additional 2-3 business days. The MRO contacts the donor to discuss any legal prescriptions that may have caused the positive results. If a legitimate prescription is verified, the result is reported as negative to the employer. If there is no medical explanation, the MRO reports the results as positive, listing the detected drug or drugs. After MRO review, there are no false positive results—these are final results. Fortunately, only about 5% of instances require this additional laboratory step.

Most states allow employers to conduct instant drug testing, but some areas do not allow them. Thus, an organization must check the state laws of the area where they do business first. State laws all require confirmation testing be done on any tests that are not negative. The states that prohibit instant drug testing are the following:

Before opting for instant or POCT testing, consult with your drug-free workplace policy review and compliance with state drug testing laws. Some state laws prohibit instant or POCT testing. Additionally, for federally regulated testing and DOT-regulated testing, instant or POCT testing is prohibited.
